De-pression

Ways to get rid of it:

1.Listen to a sad song. How does that help you ask? Well..it creates the illusion that you're less 'alone'. I recommend:

Bethany Joy Lenz - Honestly
(LC thinks this is a good song too, see, i have support!)

2. Eat insane amounts of chocolate. Not only will it increase the release of endorphins in your brain thus creating the much coveted 'high' effect, it also makes you really really sick - of which after you'd be too busy feeling sick to be depressed.

(By the way, chocolate's constant association with weight gaining and pimples is mere myth. I am living proof!)

3. Go out with stupid people. Make stupid small talk. The stupider (is this even a word?), the better. Nothing like an inane conversation to figure out to keep your mind of things.

Tell me if it works!

Oh Kim..I've tried the first two...and strange thing is I didn't realise I've been eating chocolate like almost EVERYDAY...that when I start to feel the pangs of loneliness, I also want to pop another one in my mouth...it does make me feel better.

As for the sad songs, I'm a weird one...but I need to let it all out...and get the moment out. Get the 'down' out to clear the way for an up moment, then ZOOM back down again.....

Did you happen to tap into my head and find that song? I read the lyrics just then....

Pray tomorrow brings change to my ups and downs. =)

1. works well. 70% of the songs in my mp3 collection are moody and depressing. excluding stuff like the happy tree friends

2. doesnt work. chocolate gives me phlegm. that makes me evem more depressed.

3. doesnt work. i lack friends like that. to remedy, i talk to my mirror.

i find prodding people with a ruler makes me happy. unfortunately, it tends to make the other person angry.

merv.. oh oh oh! i poke my brother with my finger til he gets annoyed too. or when he tells me something i repeatedly say 'and then' - gets him vexed. ah, the little joys =)

alli..Ahahha yes i know you and your godivas =) but if i don't eat WHAT ELSE is there to do?!

lawi..you try lah. then you let me know =) rather you than me cause my body's bigger therefore it would take more water to fill thus longer time. your body smaller, shorter time therefore the OBVIOUS IDEAL candidate would be YOU!

chocs rule. full stop. right kim? it sure helps to eat chocs when depressed. and yessss you're so right... eating too much makes u sick and then u'll be too sick to be depressed. it's a win-win situation no? :)

i also find that doing things like swimming, running, any form of sports helps. really it does, if only for the moment. and exercising/going for sports really helps release endorphins too, which make u happy and then make u forget about unpleasant things and then you get to move on with your life and all will be well and.. ok i'll shuddup now but u get the point right? ;)

haha im an emo eater. eat anythin when upset. choc still is the no1 cure.

agreed with the small talk thingy. the stupider the conversation goes the less depressing one can get unless the conversation goes the other way when the people are ermm too dumb and it gets frustrating =)

4. retail therapy. (if got $ lah)

Hrmm....choc is a comfort food, but it always make me feel guilty of the weight that I will put on if i eat excessively!! Proof: I was too greedy on M&Ms over the summer...and i put on so much weight, which i am finding extremely difficult to lose now! Result: Am running like crazy on the treadmills....n developed big, muscly (fugly?) thighs....LOL!

Anyways, i agree on listening to depressing songs tho....creates that illusion, and makes us sleep faster i guess :)
