Brilliance, Through You.

A Return To Love
by Marianne Williamson

Our deepest fear is not that we are inadequate.
Our deepest fear is that we are powerful beyond measure.
It is our light, not our darkness that most frightens us.
We ask ourselves, Who am I to be brilliant,
gorgeous, talented, fabulous?
Actually, who are you not to be?

Your playing small does not serve the world.
There is nothing enlightened about shrinking
so that other people won't feel insecure around you.
We are all meant to shine, as children do.

It is not just in some of us; it is in everyone.
And as we let our own light shine,
we unconsciously give other people
permission to do the same.
As we are liberated from our own fear,
our presence automatically liberates others.

Alli.. there seems to be confusion as to who the author is. just googled and some cited nelson mandela? =_=

and also. i think the title 'a return to love' is not befitting it though.

what do u guys think?

that is sooo weird. but you know girl, if i had written that poem and let mandela take the credit i'd be pissed hahahaha.

as for the title ... maybe not. i think it's all about finding the souce of strength within yourself and being the person you know you could, but are afraid to be.

alli.. in any case, as my friend Em said: it CAN'T possibly be mandela. it's modern chicken soup material.

hm. sometimes i reckon, it's not tht we're afraid to be brilliant. it's tht we're afraid to attempt and dissapoint ourselves. to know tht 'we didnt have it in us after all'.

rom.. aiyoh. whatever you do galpal, remember to B R E A T H E. and blog more please. or at least post some of those great pics of urs =)

Odd, it wasn't published hmm...

I said Kim that I saw a Vanilla Spice shimmer lotion on TBS site that the MUA girls described as "gingerbread, cookies, and warm christmas baking" which would go wonderfully with your amorito.

Must check and see if the Vanilla Spice line is coming to malaysia.
