Lies!! All lies!!!!

Want to be my friend?
This little duckie here was found nesting amongst flowers at Tumbalong Park a few months back.
Picture taken with my Fujifilm P&S.

Valentine's Day is a commercial farce that retailers sell to couples.

Every time a customer comes in and buys something for their partner, I say: "Aww, that's sweet of you. I'm sure she/ he will love it" (and this is done without blinking) but I think: "You idiot. We're taking your hard earned money by making you see value in some superficial holiday that doesn't even mean anything".

$20 for a stalk of rose that turns brown in a week? No thank you. Flowers are nice, yes, but are nicer when they're not dead.

I feel sorry for the people who don't want to but have to empty their wallets for this. Truly.

Couples shirts make me cringe.

Going to a restaurant that's packed on this 'special occasion' with couples make me cringe even more.

Needless to say, this V-Day grinch is going to keep far, far away from normal people on Saturday.
