Not in the morning, pleeaasee.

When I woke up today, I knew it was a special day.

So with a heart full of gusto that was not equally exhibited on my frame of pimpleness, I sat down in the kitchen and began to not-so-heartily munch a kaya bun and a mug of iced chocolate milk while reading the Borneo Post.

"Eeek!!!"

*CLINGCLANGCLINGCLONG*
*Pshhhhhhhh*

That, boys and girls, was the sound of my mom and her pot of hot water trying to murder the big-ass gecko (body length over 4 inches) in the toilet that apparently spied on her while she did her 'watering' earlier this morning.

"It was at the door, and was like cornering me!", said she while eyeing the unmoving gecko surreptitiously.

She then proceeded to nudge the gecko (whose tail was pronounced dead at 8.15am) with a toilet brush.

'EEEEEEEEEEk!', mom squawked, doing her rain dance with the toilet brush in hand.

"Oy! You're supposed to be my mother!"

"And you're supposed to be my daughter! So you come and do it!"

*flinch*

i can't imagine how some people can catch a lizard with their bare hands. i'd do it, but if only with like a piece of paper, or bag lol. i'm not too freaked out by lizards or cockroaches, but i am totally freaked out by caterpillars. i absolutely cannot even go near them. *shudders*

but paper/ bag does not stop them from wriggling! how can?!

on contrary, i don't mind caterpillars as much.. i think. prolly cause they're not very fidgety things. lizzies and roachies squirm quite a bit >.< and spiders. eeyuh. but they're facinating to watch lah.

just from my humble confession - no lizard that ever enters my house EVER leaves it alive. not my doing, of course. i couldnt kill a squirmeee lizard.

but in my home, we've got TWO (aka mommy and bro) pest eliminators. *grin*.

my job is just to scream. and report their whereabouts.

Lis.

ps: at least it wasnt 5ft long swamp biawak that entered your house. =) mommy did the rain dance for that one.

But WHY? Lizards are NICE. Lizards eat evil mozzies and flies. Long live lizards!
