My laksa is better than yours!

West Malaysians always say that Sarawakian food is too bland and that our Kolo mee looks too pale.

Penangites especially would argue that their laksa is superior to ours.

Whatever anyone says, I've never heard any of them say that they miss their local fare when they're overseas.

Kuchingites, on the other hand, get depressed over the lack of it.

And that, is true love.

Hey happy new year! May the year of the Oink Oink brings you happiness and prosperity always! And WOOOHOOO for Sarawak Laksa!!!! Extra points for gigantic prawns!!!

By the way, is it true that a reporter gets a lot of benefits? I mean from companies, especially those who desperately want the press to write good stuff about them. It seems like that from observation. Freebies, samples and even hong bao. One of my friends at one of the local English papers regularly cart home boxes of soft drinks, instant noodles, etc. Sigh.. definitely better than what I have to go through daily, apparently. Like getting chewed out by students for no rhyme or reason. I was just doing my job telling someone about current promotions and I got scolded. Was told to mind my own business and stuff. What a female dog! Grr.. if she’s so good she wouldn’t be crashing head-on into dead ends every time. What pissed me off more is how her harshness affected me, making me kinda teary-eyed and depressed.

Gawd, I need a long long vacation. Or a change of industry to something that doesn’t involve stuck-up dumbasses.

nie..220? you speaking from experience or just a random number???

antonia... all business involves stuckup dumbasses lah. just that the ratio is different.

yes, prs treat the press well - most of the time - but i guess diff journos treat it differently, there are some who turn down the freebies, some who take them and donate them, some who bring it back to the office and share it with everyone else and some who bring everything home.

thought you were going to quit the job?
