No time, no time!

Summer is here and the sun is up and scorching at 6am and stays till about 9pm. Puts off my timing, makes me tired. And hot. And smelly. And very, very irritated.

--------------------

Note my new events list on the sidebar!

Lots and lots of events to look forward to in the New Year!

The Regal Twelve photographic exhibition at Customs House, Circular Quay.

The Original Mermaids at Sydney Aquarium

Will be going to Circular Quay for fireworks on NYE which should be pretty spectacular and I hope that I won't be too bothered by the crowd (I hate crowds, hence not going for concerts etc).

Maybe I should booze up before I head out.

P/S On the whole obsession with mermaids: it ticks me off that some people feel they need to tell me how bimbo/ tacky my blog theme is. I know it is. You think a 26-year-old who has worked several jobs, done hundreds of interviews from celebrities to CEOs to ministers, been accused of being a black-hearted journalist by a politician does not know that?

Bugger off, you and your grown up good taste. This blog was not made for you.

Reasons to celebrate this joyous occasion

#1 Dead laptop
#2 No family
#3 No money
#4 No place to stay (have been told to move out in a month's time)

Oh wait. These are reasons not to celebrate.

I hate Christmas.

Edit: Christmas wasn't so bad after I bawled my eyes out as I tried to knit last night. Possible good news: might be able to renegotiate with our house's new owner although rent will probably be increased. But because I was being sulky yesterday and refused to let Moobs buy groceries for Christmas dinner, we were left with nothing to eat at home except for a variety of sauces which probably wouldn't go very well with each other. So we headed out and managed to find some food places open, had lunch, went home and took a nap (I did anyway) then went to St. Mary's Cathedral for Christmas mass which was not very nice save for the church itself. Had Thai food for dinner, went home and opened the present our flatmate D* gave to us - a Boggle set that Moobs swears he saw in the TV cabinet months ago. Old item repackaged as a gift? Don't care! I have Boggle!

Must also mention that I got lovely presents from Moobs: a bag, a bangle, massage oil and various lotions and scrubs for my poor battered retail feet.

I suppose Christmas isn't so bad :P

I want a pet fish!

The only animal I'd ever consider getting as a pet would be dogs because they're smart, fun and cuddly.

Cats are a no-no because they're stuck up and I'm needy.

Rabbits and hamsters are stupid. Fishes too. Until now.

Introducing the Fish Training Kit -- your pet goldfish, salmon, tuna and whatever fish it is hobbyists are keeping these days will be able to play football, fetch and play hide and seek with you.

It can even limbo. Watch :)

----------------------------

I'm thinking of taking up a craft and on the table of options are jewellery making (because I saw some origami earrings and they cost $30), knitting (because I want a katamari hat) or sewing (because I want to make my own clothes, bags etc).

Any advice, anyone?

To sleep, per chance to dream.

My laptop died.

Halfway through using it a couple of days ago, it just stopped charging.

Figuring it was a problem with the adapter, I went shopping for one but found that it would cost me over $100 to get an Acer one. So I borrowed a friend's Acer laptop charger, which is the same as mine, to make sure it is an adapter problem.

It is not. His adapter didn't revive my laptop either.

Have contacted Acer's customer support and they've suggested doing some magical rebooting thing (Moobs says it's rebooting the CMOS, I have no idea what that is) which I've done, but it's still not working.

Am going to do it a couple of times more just in case.

HOW LAH. I'm a poor, struggling student damnit!

Plus all my shit is trapped inside the laptop and I can't get them out.

+ angst
- happiness

:(

P/S Could someone please tell me what's up with Pandora jewellery and why a freaking charm costs $130 bucks?

Tis' the season

Do you feel what I feel?

That warm feeling that makes your head fuzzy?

Yup. It's confirmed then.

Summer is here.

:S

Bring on the singlets, shorts and thongs*.

P/S LC.. lets go to the beach when you get back from hols? I've never built sandcastles before :(

*No, not the underwear. Australian word for flip-flops.
