MMMMMMMMMMMMMMMM.
Forgot what was it I wanted to say.
*looks at title*
Oh yaa.
Moobs lost a RM3,299 Nokia phone last weekend.
He dropped it in the cab and we managed to find out what the guy's mobile number, car plate and taxi registration number was.
So first attempt at getting it back to was to call the fellow lah.
He answered the call but denied he had it and then hung up on us. After that, his phone was off.
So I called my colleague who's a crime reporter and asked him what to do. He said to make a police report since I had all the guy's details and the cops should be able to nab him.
So we go make police report lah in a ulu police station.
We painstakingly waited for the cop to type out the story (he a bit slow plus made a lot of mistakes) and after he printed it out, told us we had to go to ANOTHER police station with the report and show it to his boss, a sergeant or something.
So we went lah to that place which was about 2km deep into some housing area, they got a cop patrol car to send us.
Now note that this was almost 11pm at night.
We went to that station, went into the guys room where he told us that we should solve this ourselves. Meet the guy, confront him, and solve it ourselves.
FRIGGIN' SHIT ARE YOU FRIGGIN' KIDDING ME WE SPENT ALLLLLLLLLL THAT TIME FOR YOU TO TELL US TO
SOLVE IT OURSELVES?
And then after that, we had to walk and walk and walk because cabs don't go into that area and it was dodgy and Moobs was so scared that he told me that I was to sprint if he told me to, no questions asked.
I thought he was siaw (crazy) but oh well love's like that I suppose.
Anyhow, I've called the cab company - waste my money only - and threatened them with my journo powers but to no avail. They said it's not their responsibility.
While I would love to go down there to hunt that cab driver down and give the company a piece of my mind and my spit (yes, I am capable of disgusting action), I know it'd be wasted effort and just hope that karma gets them back.
In the meantime while waiting for karma to take place, my friend's making me feel better by calling and sending the taxi guy rude messages.
He called the cab guy, told him he needed a ride from somewhere and then asked him if his taxi services included providing chicken.
Clive, you are the absolute awesomest prankster friend I have!
